Cathy von Birgelen
is a tech-savvy Strategic Marketing Consultant with over 25 years of demonstrated business experience in all functions including planning, analysis, marketing and finance.

Cathy's expertise in online business development and e-marketing efforts comes from over twelve years of hands-on marketing for both large enterprises and start-up companies. Cathy has consulted with many national and regional clients including: GE, Choice Hotels,
Tide.com, Holcombs, Howard Industries, Troyer Farms and Gannon University, Blair.com, Relish, The Center for eBusiness and Advance IT (eBizITPA) and Knowledge Park at Penn State Erie. 

Prior to consulting, Cathy managed business development activities for Qwest Internet Solution’s, Professional Services group in Cleveland, Ohio. Working with client organizations to pinpoint their Internet strategy and assessing and recommending web enabled solutions.

Cathy has been an interactive pioneer since 1992, bringing electronic business development experience spanning sales and marketing to publishing and multimedia production and e-commerce. Cathy’s past includes founding
TeachMe2.com, an e-commerce retailer of educational materials, starting two new media divisions for TAL Marketing and Meridian Creative Group and founding TypoGraphic Systems, Inc a provider of advertising and electronic publishing services for thirteen years.

Cathy is a past president of the Erie Advertising Club and served on the
NSSEA Internet Strategy Task Force. She currently serves on the advisory panel for the Athena Powerlink for Women Owned Businesses and she is an active member of the Direct Marketing Association.

Training and Seminars

Cathy von Birgelen develops and presents training workshops and seminars on e-marketing strategies for The Center for eBusiness and Advanced IT and other organizations including Chamber of Commerce and Partnership for Nonprofits.
